Hey hey,
I'm Radja.
Born and raised in the Kempen, the rural patch east of Antwerp. Learned to drink in Herentals, learned to smoke in Brussels, grew up in Antwerp and finally settled in Zoersel. Saw a few corners of the world along the way · I love to travel.
I've been walking around with a camera since I was a kid. Photos of classmates, friends, "artistic" shots on the local railway bridge. During my studies at the Art Academy in Brussels the photography bug really hit hard. I learned about composition and was that student staying behind in the darkroom after class. Best in the class according to the teacher. At least when it came to photography… ahem.
After secondary school I switched gears and went on to study studio sound engineering in Rotterdam. Eventually I landed in the live-events industry: building stages, rigging lights and sound, setting up guitars and mics. Working into the early hours at all the big concerts and events. I still do that · it's my main gig. Rock 'n roll gets in your blood and stays there.
A few years ago I suddenly had a strong urge to pick up the camera again. Took more training, and pretty soon the first request to shoot a wedding came along. I loved it so much that I went all in. Workshops, mentors, lovely people met along the way.
And here I am. With a camera. Creating forever pics.
“Huge thanks for the fantastic photos · what shots!”

▸ The style
Today's
photographs.
Tomorrow's
memories.
Journalistic wedding photography. Add a pinch of vintage, a bit of fun and a touch of rock 'n roll · and that's my style.
No flat studio light, no pastel-pink presets, no "look lovingly at the lens" directing. Instead: raw light, sharp contrast, and the certainty that I'm there at the moments that matter.
Light
Always hunting for photographically good light. Contrast play, hard shadows, blown highlights. No flat studio look.
Composition
Quietly observing, standing in the right place, anticipating key moments. No "everyone together for the group shot" directing.
Moments
Grandma getting a kiss. Aunt Maria losing a shoe. Not staged, not posed. Real memories.
Documentary work lives on black-and-white, but I'm a fan of color too. Sunny summer wedding full of flowers? Color. Winter church with tears? Black-and-white. Either way, you get everything in both.
